Doreen Calderon joins the cast of Fatal Attraction

Following her role as a mom in the Oscar®-nominated short Please Hold, actress Doreen Calderon is the latest addition to the cast of Fatal Attraction on Paramount+

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA, September 12, 2022 / — Continuation of her role as mother in the Oscar® Short film Please Hold, Riverdale actress Doreen Calderon is the latest addition to the cast of Fatal Attraction.

Based on the generation-defining film, Fatal Attraction is the story of a faithful wife whose world comes crashing down when her husband’s indiscretion threatens to destroy their family.

Second City actress and singer Doreen Calderon was born and raised in Chicago’s controversial Marquette Park neighborhood. The youngest of three daughters, she attended a preparatory school for the Catholic Girls’ College. After high school, Calderon received several college scholarships to attend DePaul University’s Goodman School of Drama. She left the conservatory to study at the Second City training center, where she was hired to perform with the Touring Company.

Calderon earned his Equity card working at the Steppenwolf Theater with Ted Levine, then performed alongside James Denton at the award-winning Strawdog Theatre. She also improvised at the iO Theater (formerly Improv Olympic) under the direction of Del Close.

After landing in Los Angeles, she performed stand-up, taught improv, did more theater, and booked several jobs in television and national commercials.

Upcoming new releases include Welcome to Chippendales (20th Television) and White House Plumbers (HBOmax).

Film credits include Please Hold (nominated for an Oscar®) and final reimbursement. Upcoming new releases include Curse of the Clown Motel starring Tobin Bell.

In theater, she is a member of Cold Tofu Improv, the country’s first Asian-American comedy group. She has performed at countless independent theaters in Los Angeles such as The Celebration, The Cavern Club, Theater Neo and Playwrights 6.

Calderon earned her BA in theater from Columbia College and her AA in graphic design from Los Angeles Community College where she was valedictorian.

It supports Médecins Sans Frontières and AIDS Awareness.
